Micah Mattix is the editor of Portico and poetry editor at First Things. Previously, he was a senior editor at Spectator World and the literary editor at The American Conservative. He served as a contributing editor to The Weekly Standard until it closed in 2018. He edits the books and arts newsletter Prufrock and writes for a number of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New Criterion, National Review, Humanities, and The Washington Examiner. He has taught at Regent University, Yale, and UNC at Chapel Hill.
